SUBJECT: Millennium
QUESTION: What will the Millennium be like? What will Sabbath services be like?
ANSWER:
Good question. I do not believe that Sabbath services will be necessarily in the traditions of the Jews. I believe that Jesus will set whole new traditions which may or may not resemble what He did or experienced during his physical life on earth.
There is some very good indication that we will have temples in every town. I also believe that Sabbaths will be more involved as to length of time. In other words, you will see Sabbath activities lasting much longer throughout the day. There will be possibly longer worship services divided into worship like we see today but with the addition of personal training and Bible studies. You will also see more fellowship and related fellowship activities.
Remember that everything we know about city design, building design, transportation, communications, infrastructure and employment will be far different from what we know today. Media will be far different (books, newspapers, magazines, television, radio, entertainment, etc.). What we tend to think of religion, which is often only addressed on a Sabbath Day will be more of a way of life and fill each day.
There will be one government and one ruler. The earth will be filled with angels whom will be visible to the population. There will be no human leaders or governors or presidents. There will be no human police departments or FBI, CIA or any other such justice or enforcement type organizations.
Food and drink will be far different than anything we know now. What you know as quality fruits and vegetables today will be inferior garbage compared to the food and plants we will see in the Millennium. All of the land will be different. Weather will be very different.
All of these elements and many, many
more will have an effect on what we call the Sabbath in the
Millennium. |
