Is there such thing as "a geographically isolated member?"

We sometimes get laments about the isolated members around the country and around the world.  We also received these laments from the member in the remote location.  The fact is, there is no such thing as an isolated member.  They have connection and fellowship to the church they were called to.  These geographically remote members have contact through mail, e-mail, phone, the web sites and even chat rooms.

God often calls a person in a remote location as a seed to begin a new fellowship group.  One suggestion we give to local churches or concerned members is to begin sending Friendship Packages to these remote members.  See the Church Resources at the Church web site.
