Quote:
Conspiracies, like thunder clouds, should in a moment form
and strike like lighting, ere the sound is heard. –John Dow.

not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked
to be an unrighteous witness.
Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt
not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak
in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.

to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of
Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
Judges 16:5 And the
lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto

us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
Judges 16:9 Now there
were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And

Judges 16:10 And Delilah
said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me
lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be
bound.
Judges 16:11 And he said
unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never
were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.
Judges 16:12 Delilah

unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there

from off his arms like a thread.
Judges 16:13 And Delilah

unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with
the web.

fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines
be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and

heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times,

to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and

Judges 16:17 That he
told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not
come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto
God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength
will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any
other man.
Judges 16:18 And when
Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and

in their hand.

Of Absalom:
2Samuel 15:10-13 But
Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel,
saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye
shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron. And with Absalom went
two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they
went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing. And
Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor,
from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices.
And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased
continually with Absalom. And there came a messenger
to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after
Absalom.
Of Jeroboam:
1Kings 14:2 And Jeroboam
said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself,
that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get
thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which
told me that I should be king over this people.
Against Jesus:
Jeremiah 11:9, And the
LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of
Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. But I was
like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I
knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying,
Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us
cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may
be no more remembered.
Matthew 12:14 Then the
Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they
might destroy him.
Matthew 21:38-41 But
when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves,
This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on
his inheritance. And they caught him, and cast him out of
the vineyard, and slew him. When the lord therefore of the
vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They
say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men,
and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which
shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Matthew 26:3-4 Then
assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and
the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high
priest, who was called Caiaphas, And consulted that they
might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
Matthew 27:1-2 When the
morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the
people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: And
when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered
him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Mark 3:6 And the
Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the
Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Against Paul:
Acts 18:12 And when
Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection
with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the
judgment seat.
Acts 23:12-15 And when
it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound
themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat
nor drink till they had killed Paul. And they were more than
forty which had made this conspiracy. And they came to the
chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves
under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have
slain Paul. Now therefore ye with the council signify to the
chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as
though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning
him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.
