Definition: Malice
A desire to harm others or to see others suffer; extreme
ill will or spite.
Law. The intent, without just cause or reason, to commit a
wrongful act that will result in harm to another.
In law, an intentional violation of the law.
The intentional commission of a wrongful act, absent
justification, with the intent to cause harm to others;
conscious violation of the law that injures another
individual; a mental state indicating a disposition in
disregard of social duty and a tendency toward malfeasance.
A feeling of wanting to hurt or harm someone.
Synonyms:
1. ill will, spite, spitefulness; animosity, enmity;
malevolence; venom, hate, hatred; bitterness, rancor.
Titus 3:3 For we
ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient,
deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in
malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all
bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil
speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Note: ...with
all malice in this verse:
being the deeds of the old man, unbecoming such as are born
again, and grieving to the Spirit of God. Every kind
and sort of evil is to be put away, and you are to
manifest only that which is good.
Philippians 1:15-16 Some
indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also
of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not
sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Proverbs 28:10 Whoso
causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall
