Psalms 12:3 The LORD
shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that
speaketh proud things:
Proverbs 14:21 He that
despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on
the poor, happy is he.
Proverbs 18:11-12 The
rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in
his own conceit. Before destruction the heart of man is
haughty, and before honour is humility.
Proverbs 21:4, 24 An
high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked,
is sin. Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth
in proud wrath.
Proverbs 8:13 The fear
of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the
