How I Got Started in the Program

Exercise began on 9 May, 2010.  My goal initially was to walk, climb and/or bike 8 miles a day, 5 days a week with a 400 calorie burn per day.  After 33 days of exercise I have now set the goal to 15 miles a day, 5 days a week with a 600 calorie burn per day.  At the 84 day mark my daily average is over 18 miles or 29 km per day.

Currently I am covering 21 miles per day with calorie burns over 700.  I reserve Sunday for a make-up day if I miss Monday through Friday.  I have had one day of 57 miles and several of 40 miles or more.  My record is 116 miles or 186.6 km in one day.

As of 12 October I have computed the entire trip using Google Maps and it is now a journey of 3,437 miles or 5,530.1 km.  
On 17 October I went 116 miles or 186.6 km.
On 20 December I set a record for 3.5 miles - 12.5 minutes.  I do 3.5-mile or 5.6 km sessions each time I go to the gym.  I do 6 sessions to complete 21 miles or 33.8 km.
