Announcement Grid for the Feast of Tabernacles

The purpose of this document is to simply explain how Chris Cumming, a minister in the ICG organizes daily announcements for the Feast. It does not have, as its purpose, the encouragement, urging or influencing of how you organize and run your Feast.  If you adopt our ideas, fine, but there is no obligation you do so.  There is no official church decree on how announcements are to be organized or given.  How it is done at the various Feast sites is the sole responsibility of the minister who is acting as Feast elder for his assigned Feast site.

There are two kinds of announcements for any Feast of Tabernacles.

1) Those established and known prior to the Feast.

2) Those that will arise due to circumstances of the Feast itself.

For the known announcements, I make an announcement grid that lists the announcement title and what days I have chosen to give it.  Some of these announcements are for activities and events and end once the event [picnic, raffle, etc,] is over.  Other administrative-type of announcements [service times, baptisms, anointing, etc,] run throughout the week.  Here is the grid:

Note:  This is an aid to preparing announcements.  It is not all-inclusive.  There are spaces provided for other announcements.

Next you will need an Announcement form for services and used by the person giving the announcements.  Some of these forms will be pre-published with the known announcements, as indicated on the grid and others will be blank and ready for those incidental announcements as the situation arises.
Here is one of our pre-published announcements for this year at Kings Beach.

I keep these and all forms and documents in computer files in my computer.  I have computer folders for Feast 2004, 2005 and now 2006.  Next year I will make a 2007 folder.  I will then visit the 2006 folder, open all documents, such as my Announcement Grid and Announcement forms [established announcements and blank forms] and do "save as" into the 2007 folder.  Saves a lot of time as you go from Feast to Feast.
